Remington 1863 Percussion Contract Rifle, c. 1863, walnut stock with cartouches on the left side, brass fittings, lock dated "1863" on the tail, with an eagle over "U.S.," and "REMINGTONS/ILION, N.Y.," barrel breech marked "1863, VP" over an eagle, and "STEEL," barrel lg. 33, overall lg. 49 in.

Stock has a few light dings and nicks, barrel retains 80% of the brown finish, and the lock functions properly.
