Group of Spanish American War Ephemera and Gun Associated with 1st Lieutenant John Macaulay, 12th Infantry Regiment, New York Volunteers, late 19th century, a Remington rolling block rifle along with a photograph album containing approximately sixty-two photographs take mostly during his service in the Philippines and in China during the Boxer Rebellion, a photograph of Macaulay in uniform, a program for the dedication of the 12th Regiment Infantry New York National Guard Armory in New York, a commission appointing him Second Lieutenant in the New York State National Guard dated February 21, 1884, a certificate of membership in the New York Retail Grocers Union dated August 15, 1892, a photograph of a building with sign reading "POINT WOODS ASS'N," and a bronze plaque of President Ulysses S. Grant.

Stock has a few dings and nicks and has been refinished, the action functions but there is possibly a broken spring inside the receiver as the hammer pulls back but has no tension.
