Pair of Green and White Meissen Covered Jars, Germany, early 20th century, each with white ground with green landscape and figural scenes on a vasiform body, gilt rim and foot, with dome-shaped lid, with underglazed crossed swords mark, overall ht. 9 1/2 in.
N.B. Sold to benefit the Worcester Art Museum, Worcester, Massachusetts.
Repair to knop on one of the covers. One cover has divot on gilding. Each with some age-expected wear/rubbing to gilding and surface decoration.
