Louis XVI-style Secrétaire à Abattant and a Tall Cabinet, France, late 19th century, each with marble top and inlaid surfaces, highlighted by gilt-bronze mounts, resting on cabriole legs; a secretaire with pull-down velvet-inlaid writing surface, interior with vacant compartment and drawer, surmounting three drawers, ht. 42 5/8, wd. 14 3/4, dp. 12; a cabinet with six drawers inlaid with floral and foliate depictions, ht. 45 1/2, wd. 17, dp. 11 7/8 in.

Secretaire with veneer dry and cracking, varnish also flaking. Apron and some elements along drawers restored or replaced (different coloring). Tall cabinet with marble top broken (probably lacking some smaller pieces),dry cracking veneer with chipped losses and patches. Varnish also flaking.
