Pair of Matched George II/IV Sterling Silver Candlesticks, London, one 1757-58, William Cafe, maker; the other 1828-29, William Brown, maker; bobeches unmarked, each with a slender urn-form sconce on a knopped stem with acanthus accents and a flared foot, engraved armorial to bobeches and feet, ht. 9 3/4 in., approx. 39.8 troy oz.

Each with age-related surface wear (slight loss of crispness to surface/armorials),minor nicks and abrasions. Cafe stick with very small area of metal fatigue below sconce and foot does not sit perfectly flush (unobtrusive, rocks very slightly). Otherwise each in good overall condition.
