Pair of George III Sterling Silver Sauce Tureens, London, 1806-07, Thomas Robins, maker, each with a faux-bois loop handle, gadrooned rim, engraved armorial to body and crest to lid, on four paw feet, lg. handle to handle 9 in., approx. 69.7 troy oz.

Tureens numbered 1 and 2, lids numbered 2 (with number 4 to finial) and 3 (with 3 finial). One tureen with two feet pushed slightly into body (with small halo of foot joint to interior, not visible to exterior) and one lid with slight indentation to lid (sits slightly higher to one side),otherwise both in good overall condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and polishing.
