Hand-painted "Dry Cleaning" Sign, Near Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 1936, printed later. Signed "Walker Evans" in pencil on the mount l.r., Lunn Gallery stamp inscribed "II 132" in pencil on the mount verso at center. Gelatin silver print mounted to board, image/sheet size 7 5/8 x 9 1/8 in. (19.5 x 23.2 cm),matted, unframed.
Condition: Minor lifting of emulsion and small losses along right edge and at c.l., subtle silver mirroring at edges, print appears to be affixed to the mount at the center only.

Provenance: A private Massachusetts collection.
