Henry Greenwood Peabody (American, 1855-1951)

Boating on Squam Lake, c. 1904. Unsigned, titled in ink on the mount l.l., inscribed "Mrs. Peabody and Mildred, Squam Lake" in pencil on the verso l.l. Gelatin silver print mounted to paper, image/sheet size 7 1/4 x 9 1/4 in. (18.5 x 23.5 cm),matted, unframed.
Condition: Sheet affixed to the mount at left edge.

N.B. In 1886 Henry Greenwood Peabody opened a studio in Boston, specializing in architectural, landscape, and marine photography. This image of his wife and daughter boating reflects a private moment in Peabody's very active photographic career.

Mount measures 10 1/2 x 12 3/4 in. (26.8 x 32.4 cm).
