Cast Bronze Figure of an Ascetic Buddha, China, possibly Ming dynasty, seated with his right leg raised and his left in parallel to the ground, both of his hands folded on his right knee, his head looking down, his bearded chin touching his left hand, downcast eyes, closed mouth with slight hint of smile, curled hair, eyebrows, mustache, and beard, ht. 8 3/4 in.
Provenance: Exhibited at the Jersey City Library in the 1930s.
