Seven Sketches and Paintings, India, 18th to 20th century, ink, gold, and color on paper, a drawing of a kneeling ruler with polychrome turban, a sketch of a group of ladies carrying water, a painting of a woman dancing, a sketch of a woman carrying food, a painting of a Mughal procession scene, a drawing of Krishna surrounded by angelic beings, and an illustrated folio manuscript, three matted, three unframed, and one framed and glazed, sight size to 15 3/4 x 10 1/4 in.
Provenance: The estate of Marion E. James.
Not examined out of frame, loose drawings toned, tear to upper left corner of portrait of ruler, stamped on reverse, restoration to worm damage on drawing of Krishna.
