Description:

Fancy Blue Paint-decorated Dome-top Box, attributed to Moses Eaton (1753-1833), Massachusetts and New Hampshire, early 19th century, dovetail-constructed rectangular box with wire hinged lid, iron latch, with allover shaded blue putty painted decoration with brown borders, (minor imperfections), ht. 7 1/2, wd. 18 1/8, dp. 9 1/4 in.

Provenance: The Collection of Meryl and Jay Weiss, sold at Skinner, February 18, 2007, Lot 11.
