George II Sterling Silver Salver, London, 1756-57, James Morison, maker, with a shell and scroll border enclosing a rocaille scroll and floral engraving along edge and a central eagle crest, on three scrolled feet, dia. 14 in., approx. 37.0 troy oz.

Rough solder to joints between feet and tray, tray sits well. Light surface wear throughout including minor loss of crispness to edge and central armorial. A few scattered surface abrasions consistent with age and use. Engraved border later. Lacquered.
