German Majolica High Relief Plaque, late 19th century, attributed to W. Schiller and Sons, rectangular, polychrome enamel decorated interior scene with medieval-type figures, sight size 14 x 21 3/4 in.; mounted in a giltwood frame.
Provenance: From the Estate of Paul Lauer.
Estimate $500-700
Front: Scattered abrasions and small chips to glaze at high points of relief; the knees of the seated gentleman appear to have been touched up.
Reverse: Several chips.
Some losses to giltwood frame.
