Description:

Georgian Sterling Silver Teapot, bearing marks to underside for London, 1732-33, maker's mark "IS" similar to mark of James Smith I, bullet-shaped with engraved foliate register along lid, body further engraved with coat of arms, base also with scratch weights and additional monogram, ht. 4 1/4 in., approx. 13.0 troy oz.
Estimate $400-600

Surface decoration lightly worn, linear dent to upper edge (about 1 inch long), loss to base of handle. Silver to base appears thinner (with related metal fatigue visible to interior).
