White Salt-glazed Stoneware Tea Canister, England, dated 1770, probably Devonshire and Bovey Tracey, rectangular shape with paneled sides, two with scratch blue fruit, one with press-molded Flora in high relief, another with scratch blue fruit and flowers surrounding an inscription "Martha Saymore Septimber ye 21th 1770," ht. 5 1/2 in.
Provenance: From the Troy Chappell Collection, ex. collection Mr. J. Henry Griffith.
In very good condition through with no evidence of any cracks, chips or restorations.
