White Salt-glazed Stoneware Butter Tub and Cover, England, c. 1750-60, probably Staffordshire, oval shape press-molded with a reclining cow finial and allover basketweave body, lg. 6 1/4 in.

Provenance: From the Troy Chappell Collection; ex collection Mr. John Cox; Garry Atkins.

Cow with one horn and one ear restored. chips to one handle and to foot restored. Slight rim stain spot.
