Description:

White Salt-glazed Stoneware Parrot Teapot and Cover, England, c. 1750-60, probably Staffordshire, squat baluster shape polychrome enamel-decorated in the famille verte manner with trellis and half-blossom border and central designs of a bird perched among flowering branches, ht. 4 5/8 in.

Provenance: From the Troy Chappell Collection; Garry Atkins.
Estimate $2,000-3,000

Cover: Finial simply off and reglued; rim chip restored.
Pot: Very slight glaze line to rim; spout restoration.
