Portrait of a Bearded Pilgrim
. Unsigned. Oil on canvas, 9 1/8 x 8 7/8 in., framed. Condition: Lined, retouch, craquelure, surface grime.

N.B. The pilgrim wears the scallop shell, symbol of the Camino de Santiago, the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostella where the remains of St. James the Great are said to be buried.
