Left Handed Identified Non-regulation Officer's Sword, c. 1865, left handed steel guard, shagreen-wrapped grip, ricasso marked W.WALSCHEID/SOLINGEN and PROVED, blade engraved with foliate designs, panoply of arms, and U.S., scabbard inscribed Presented to/Lieut. Augustus Stone-by the Non Commissioned Officers/-of Co. D-/4th Regt. Mass HV. Arty./April 8th, 1865, blade lg. 32 1/2, overall lg. 40 in.
