Condition: Original canvas mounted to another canvas support, major areas of loss of paint, flaking, varnish discoloration, surface grime.
Provenance: A Massachusetts educational institution.

Condition: Large areas of paint loss in the lower half of the painting, with a concentration in the lower right quadrant. Approximately 10% of the surface of the canvas has paint loss. Active flaking. Multiple tiny paint losses to the sky. The major losses along the bottom edge may be the result of exposure to moisture, and the lower corners of the original canvas are disadhering from the lining, with a loss of canvas to the l.r. corner. Abrasions and surface grime.
