Frank Weston Benson (American, 1862-1951)

Canada River, 1920, trial proof A-1 (Paff, 179). Signed "FrankWBenson." in pencil l.l. Drypoint on laid Japan paper, plate size 5 7/8 x 7 7/8 in. (14.8 x 19.8 cm), unmatted, unframed.
Condition: Rich, heavy burr, margins over 1 1/2 inches with deckled edges, pencil annotations to lower margin, subtle soiling and fingerprints to margins, creases to deckles and near edges, old hinges to upper corners on verso.

Provenance: Descended within the family of the artist.
