Morris, Captain Charles. Autograph letter signed to daughter Julia Morris, 2 March 1846, at Miss Mercer's School in Belmont, Virginia, mentioning Julia's mother's health, a visit to a cousin prevented by a snow storm, and Julia's superior performance at school; with original envelope, matted and framed, 9 1/4 x 7 1/2 in., together with a picture of Captain Morris and his wife, a transcription of the letter, and a dated letter on New York Yacht Club stationery signed by B. Devereaux Barker, III of the Library Committee, mentioning the letter.
