Hamilton, Alexander (1755-1804) Period Manuscript Copy of a Treasury Department Circular to the Collectors of the Customs, 13 May 1791. Folio bifolium inscribed over two pages, docketed on the verso, on wove Lathrop and Willard watermarked paper; concerning "the landing and securing duties in different districts and the mode of estimating duties by the actual weighing, gauging, and measuring of goods," writing faded, old folds, 10 x 8 in.
