Shaker Basket, probably Canterbury, New Hampshire, round bottom and top, black ash, finely shaped possibly hickory double-notched handle, initialed "JEW" (possibly Josephine E. Wilson), scratched on handle "Fanny ND," single wrap rim, wide uprights turned down alternately inside and outside, narrow weavers, half-round outer rim with smaller half-round inner rim, darkened color, ht. to rim 11 1/2, dia. 16 1/2 in.
