N.B. In 1968, Miguel Ortiz Berrocal created Mini David as a series, produced in quantities of 10,000 copies. Experimenting with new processes for creating sculptural forms, he used what is called the "automatic injection technique," hitherto used exclusively in industrial manufacturing. The sculpture operates as a three-dimensional puzzle, as the segments come apart.
