The Mandoline Player (Joueuse de mandoline), c. 1889, final state of seven (Breeskin, 130). Unsigned, artist's collector's stamp (Lugt, 604) l.r. Drypoint on laid paper with star watermark, plate size 9 3/8 x 6 1/4 in. (23.8 x 15.8 cm),framed.
Condition: Margins 1 1/4 inches or more with deckled right edge, ink annotation "38c" (upside-down) l.l., soiling to margins, subtly light-struck, pale fox marks, red pigment along lower and left edges.
Estimate $3,000-5,000
The sheet measures 14 1/8 x 8 7/8 inches. Hinged at upper corners with Japan or similar.
