Two Impressions of Cloudy Dawn, 1922, trial proof A-6 and an impression of the published state of 150 (Paff, 215). Signed "FrankWBenson." in pencil l.l. Etchings (the proof with pencil) on laid paper, plate size 9 3/4 x 11 7/8 in., unmatted, unframed. Condition: Deckled edges, pencil annotations to lower margins, proof with soiling/fingerprints and soft creases to margins and with hinging tape to upper corners.
Provenance: Descended within the family of the artist.
N.B. The proof impression has extensive drawing in pencil, delineating the clouds, horizon, and water, as referenced in Paff.
