Two American Violins, Seth Miller Briggs, South Hanson, c. 1880, bearing the maker's label and inscription, length of backs 358, and 360 mm, with double case.

1875: Unglued ribs from upper block, bass bar crack; 1885: Wing crack glued, open seams.
