Waugh, Evelyn (1903-1966) Autograph Letter Signed 4 December 1959. Single airmail paper with self-envelope and holograph address, written over two pages. To Jane Callaway, in response to her letter, advising her if she had trouble understanding it, to read Brideshead Revisited again, additionally suggesting that she read all of his other books, and ending with this advice, "stop writing letters to people in 'Japan, German, Canada' and above all in Great Britain." Old folds, remnants of tape, two words underlined by another hand, 9 1/2 x 7 3/4 in.
