Elaborately Carved and Marquetry Inlaid Chime Clock, Germany, late 19th century, scroll-top hood with floral marquetry above the carved griffin-form columns flanking the painted Arabic numeral dial with moon's age in arch, full-length carved buttresses at the back, serpentine-shaped marquetry waist door flanked by flat reeded columns, base panel with similar decoration, resting on a fully carved scroll-foot base, eight-day time and quarter-chiming movement, ht. 108 in.
