Walter Durfee "Harp-pattern Timepiece" or Lyre Clock, Providence, Rhode Island, c. 1910, mahogany case with brass bezel over the painted zinc Roman numeral dial signed Walter H. Durfee/Providence, the midsection with carved lyre detail with scroll, acanthus leaf, and fan over a reverse-painted tablet with gold "strings" and leafage against a red and green ground, lower carved pedestal and gilt spelter eagle finial, eight-day time-only brass movement marked on the front plate 5846, with maintaining power, Geneva stop, and deadbeat escapement regulated by a pendulum and powered by a lead weight, ht. 37 in.
