Guerre Three-month-duration Floor Regulator, Nancy, France, round silvered brass Roman numeral dial marked GUERRE, A NANCY, engine-turned cast brass bezel, long duration time-only movement with skeletonized plates, deadbeat escapement, and crutch beat adjustment, powered by a brass-cased weight and regulated by a gridiron pendulum, with a one day, hour, and half-hour strike train powered by a small brass-cased weight, in a walnut case with pediment top, one-piece dial and waist door flanked by pilasters, the upper capitals designed as a female bust and the lower pairs of sandal-clad feet, flat base panel with applied ormolu diamond, ht. 87 in.
