Description:

Chinese Export Silver Planter, late 19th/early 20th century, character mark and rubbed "GZ" maker's mark to underside, the reticulated frame with bamboo and dragon motif, inset lead liner, and articulated dragons to each corner, lg. to 10 1/4 in.
Estimate $200-400

Surface inconsistent and with wear throughout (probably lacquered). One dragon foot loose from body of planter. Scattered minor breaks in reticulated border. Liner corroded. 32.7 troy oz. without lead liner.
