Pair of Louis XVI-style Marble-top Kingwood Pedestals, France, late 19th/early 20th century, with marquetry, each top of pink veined marble surmounting a bombe form with female figural head gilt-bronze mounts, with inlaid floral and foliate motifs, resting on a shaped bracket footed base, ht. 52 1/2, wd. 16 7/8, dp. 16 7/8 in.
Estimate $800-1,200

Each marble top with repaired break (one through center, the other through a corner with also a chipped loss that is present but loose). Heavy varnish to veneer and gold finish to mounts. Scattered cracking and chipped losses to veneer particularly along joints.
