Description:

Renaissance-style Italian Cassone, comprised of antique elements, molded top over a heavily carved case flanked by figural head motifs, supported by scrolled feet, ht. 21 1/2, wd. 67 1/2, dp. 21 in.

Provenance: Deaccessioned from the Worcester Art Museum.
Estimate $800-1,200

Evidence of old woodworm throughout. Back feet partially missing; age typical wear and defects throughout. Top restored and with patches and reinforced.
