Spanish Baroque-style Vargueno on Stand, 19th century, upper chest with reticulated iron hardware over velvet, with a fall-front which reveals numerous fitted drawers decorated with inlaid and polychrome painted plaques and highlighted by twist columns and shell-form pulls, resting on a polychrome painted and carved conforming stand with pull-out shell-shaped desk supports surmounting two drawers atop two cabinet doors, all supported on bun feet, ht. 58 3/4, wd. 43 1/4, dp. 19 in.
