Louis XV-style Gilt-bronze and Marble-top Table

Louis XV-style Gilt-bronze and Marble-top Table, 19th century and later components, the serpentine white marble top with gray veining, surmounting a pedestal comprised of a figural clock case with bronze putti, carved figural mask, and foliate scrolls, all mounted on a black-painted, diamond-shaped wood base, ht. 27, wd. 43 1/4, dp. 29 1/2 in.
Bronze base was converted from a mantel clock (with related losses to original components and others added to accommodate tabletop/base), with scattered minor nicks and spots of verdigris. Ebonized base with nicked losses and wear to surface. Marble top with light surface abrasions.
