Empire Gilt-bronze Astrological-theme Mantel Clock, France, 19th century, a maiden seated on a pillow holding a compass to a globe with stacked books to one side, the enameled dial inscribed "Cure a Montpellier" and set with stars below and a cupid peering through a telescope to one side, all set on a marble base, ht. 14 1/2, lg. 12 in.
