Martin Brothers Stoneware Jar and Cover, England, c. 1911, bulbous shape with blue and green glazes to a gray ground, the flat cover in relief with octopus-like tentacles radiating from a shell center, the body with grotesque fish to a water ground, inscribed signature and date, ht. 4 3/4 in.
Cover: Rim chips professionally restored.
Jar: Body appears to have been extensively damaged to one side and has been professionally restored.
