Wedgwood Dark Blue Jasper Dip Vase and Drum Base, England, early 19th century, applied white relief, the neck with musical instrument drops between fruiting grapevine festoons, running palmettes to shoulder above classical figures, scrolled foliate framed panels with urns surrounding the base, the drum with running palmette and laurel and berry borders framing a central fruiting grapevine festoons terminating at lion masks and ribbons, impressed mark, overall ht. 20 7/8 in.
Provenance: Deaccessioned from the Worcester Art Museum, Worcester, Massachusetts.
Attached rod remounted. Socle to vase secured to vase base with glue. No evidence of any cracks, chips or damages. vase ht. 12 7/8"; base ht. 8"
