Italian Neoclassical Fruitwood and Olivewood Marquetry Commode, 19th century, with inlaid top with star motif surmounting a case with three drawers, each depicting scenes of classical architecture, ht. 32 1/2, wd. 50 7/8, dp. 21 1/4 in.

Scattered lifting, cracking and, losses to veneer throughout, particularly to bottom drawer and side panels (many pieces present but loose, one segment to left side of drawer with paper covering masking veneer loss). Loss to front edge veneer on left side (about 20 inches long). Side and back panels with some joint separation and cracking to panels. Top with 6 1/2 in. crack to center right side, back corners of top loose from case. Drawers do not sit perfectly flush with case. Scattered minor worming. All sides relatively flat/ no major warping.
