Turner Stoneware Teapot and Cover, England, c. 1800, Staffordshire, the Lane End potworks of William and John Turner II, four-sided bombe shape set on four square cut bracket feet, the pierced floral and vine dome to the lid set with a recumbent lion, the circular paneled sides alternating between brown ground classical figures after designs by Lady Templetown and Asian landscapes with large prunus trees to the foreground with pagoda in the distance, impressed mark, ht. 6 5/8, overall lg. 8 1/2 in.
