Description:

Lead-glazed Marbled Pearlware Jug, England, c. 1785-90, possibly Staffordshire or Yorkshire, baluster shape with grooved loop handle, white mold-applied husk swags terminating at flower drops to a slip ground agate in shades of brown, ht. 5 1/4 in.
Estimate $1,000-1,500

Top rim with several small glaze chips, the spout with roughly 1/2" of conjoined chips to lip. handle with patch of glaze loss; footrim with two side chips and another underneath. No evidence of any cracks or restorations.
