Lead-glazed Earthenware Soup Plate, England, c. 1755-60, probably Staffordshire and in the manner of Thomas Whieldon, octagonal shape with milled edge, allover decorated in a translucent brown enamel, dia. 8 5/8 in.
Provenance: The Troy Chappell Collection; Matthew and Elisabeth Sharpe.
Numerous areas of glaze scratches, abrasions and wear.
