Description:

Red Stoneware Teapot and Cover, England, c. 1755-65, probably Staffordshire, cylindrical form with loop handle, the cover and body adorned with flowers, large leaves, and scrolled vines, overall ht. 3 1/4 in.

Provenance: Ex Joseph Jackson collection; Jonathan Horne.
Estimate $1,000-1,500

Cover: Three sizable rim chipos restored; inner collar very heavily chipped.
Pot: Restorations to slight rim chips and to tip of spout.
