Description:

White Salt-glazed Stoneware Polychrome Enameled Sweetmeat Dish, England, c. 1760-65, probably Staffordshire, press-molded as a veined leaf the center with three small leaves and two sprays of globular berries, twig handle, set on three floret and peg feet, lg. 6 1/4 in.

Provenance: The Troy Chappell Collection; Wynn Sayman.

Literature: Identical illustrated in English Pottery 1650-1800, by Grigsby, illus. 38.

Broken in two and simply restored.
