Description:

Tin-glazed Earthenware Octagonal Ming Dish, England, c. 1685-90, probably Bristol or possibly London, blue decorated with Chinese scholar seated in landscapes to both rim and center, lg. 7 3/4 in.

Provenance: The Troy Chappell Collection; D.M. & P. Manheim.

Age typical glaze wear and glaze chipping along points of rim., minor shallow scratches to the basin of the plate.
