Description:

Tin-glazed Earthenware Fluted Shallow Bowl, England, c. 1690, probably London or possibly Bristol, circular form with scalloped rim, blue decorated with border of flower buds alternating with dot and chain motifs surrounding a central cartouche of two brush-like conifers in a landscape, dia. 8 5/8 in.

Age typical glaze abrasions along the rim and with minor chipping. Faint and scattered glaze hairlines throughout.
