George III Sterling Silver Salver, London, 1812-13, Samuel Hennell, maker, areas of rim also hallmarked including additional maker's mark: William Brown, with a shell-and-scroll cast rim and foliate engraved border centering an armorial, on three rocaille feet, dia. 18 3/4 in., approx. 78.7 troy oz.
Estimate $600-800

Chased shell and scroll rim lightly later (marked for William Brown c. 1820s, lacking date mark), feet also probably later (appear to have been moved, but lack maker's or date mark). Otherwise in good overall condition with only very minor surface wear.
