George III Sterling Silver Hot Water Urn on Stand, London, 1797-98, John Emes, maker, with wicker-wrapped handle, gadrooned lower body, engraved armorial, and reeded spout, on a stand with burner and four reeded legs terminating in claw-and-ball feet, ht. to handle 15 1/2 in., approx. 74.2 troy oz.
Wicker to handle with losses. Buner and kettle body with scattered shallow dents. Mother of pearl spigot possibly a replacement. Silver surface around armorial slightly weaker (possibly previously removal). Stand is in good condition.
